A Wisdom Tooth & Other News

We had a great trip in Chicago, some pictures should appear in Flickr soon (see the sidebar on the right). We’ve been back nearly two weeks now and well recovered from jetlag. Emma recently had a wisdom tooth removed, so that is causing considerable pain. The dentist has given Emma a course of antibiotics, so hopefully that means things will improve quickly.

Things in Glasgow have been as busy as expected, but I’d say that were well into the swing of things now, back into a working pattern. It’s been a good two weeks. Here are a couple of exciting things that have happened:

  • Now that Niamh is much more settled, we’ve been able to open up our home again for hospitality. Two Iranian friends from football were at the flat for dinner last night. I’ve known the guys for a number of months, but never really had a chance to get to know them. We had a great time and are looking forward to opening our house more regularly.
  • A good Iranian friend of mine told me that “so many Christians have been so helpful to me in Scotland, helping me when they didn’t have to, being my friend. From what I’ve seen, what you say about Jesus must be true.” He wants to meet weekly to learn about the Bible and Christianity.

Thanks for praying into these situations.
