Three Minute Wonders
It’s been a while since the last post... the busyness of moving and getting back into a more regular schedule with the re-opening of St. Rollox has kept me from taking the time to update the blog properly.
All of our boxes are officially unpacked, and the new place already feels like home – much more so than the last flat. I'll post some pictures soon.
I might be a bit late on this, but hopefully some of you caught Channel 4’s 3 Minute Wonder – “The Estate” over the summer. It was filmed in what now feels like our backyard: Sighthill. The programmes were realistic, while portraying positive aspects of life in the estate. St. Rollox Church of Scotland was well represented as a focal point for the community, without downplaying the essential dynamic of faith. In both trailers on the Producing Clarity website, the church is a prominent feature (the minister who is praying for the community is our friend James – who helped me run the Christianity Explored course a few months ago).
So, if you missed “The Estate” on Channel 4, have a look at two of these succinct and insightful snapshots of life in Sighthill (just click on the link below):

James conveys a message of Kindness to his congregation and kindness is a powerful thing!
