ACN at St Rollox
Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) launched their report about the persecuted church at St Rollox today. The report has already caused a minor stir in the Scottish media. It was strange to see our little project turn into a media circus for the morning – something that usually only happens around elections!
It was an interesting move for a Catholic charity to promote their report about persecuted Christians in a Church of Scotland where volunteers for the project come from many different religious backgrounds. The implicit message through the choice of venue is fairly obvious.

The report done by the BBC was much better, but Reporting Scotland videos are only kept on the iPlayer for one day.
Archbishop Bashar Warda (of Erbil in Iraq) also attended the ACN report launch, which was very exciting for many of the Iraqi Christians who live locally. He’s a source of inspiration for them and brought them hope that people do care about what is happening to the Christian minority in their homeland. If nothing else, it was great to see our Iraqi Christian friends so encouraged when they receive precious little good news from home.
