Backgammon á la mode
Last week, during my weekly backgammon game, I was given something very special: a Kurdish headdress. I think it was originally put on me as a bit of a joke, but I looked so fetching that my friend told me to keep it. Apparently, it makes me look like a Kurdish commando (I hope that’s a compliment). I was quite touched to receive the gift, the garment was obviously the product of fine craftsmanship. For those of you who know backgammon, you’ll notice that by the position of the pieces that I was losing badly; as is usually the case when I face this particular opponent.

Wow - First, nice headdress. Congrats on that. Secondly, your tavli game really needs some attention. Maybe a visit back to Greece to work on your tavli basics?
